Jan Perkins
She began her career as an art educator holding degrees in both Art Education and Art Therapy, followed by two decades in corporate marketing, sales and promotions where she held executive positions at two fortune 50 companies. In the early 1990’s she launched J.Design, a marketing consulting and graphic design firm dedicated to creative marketing solutions, design, printmaking, digital graphics and digital fine art painting.
Known as a wildlife artist since 2010, her professional exhibitions include such notables as Beretta and HOLLAND & HOLLAND in London, The Southeastern Wildlife Exposition (SEWE) the ‘Wildlife Artists of Georgia’ at the Booth Western Art Museum in Atlanta and a collection of safari textile accessories sold Europe.
Jan was commissioned by the University of Georgia’s College of Engineering to design and paint a series of art panels in celebration of their 10th anniversary in 2022. “The Art of Engineering & Technology’, a conceptual and collaborative effort, showcases important events at the College and is largely based on student projects, professorial research and applied technology. This unique Permanent art collection and has an emotive quality designed to engage the viewer with real and complex imagery that transcend boundaries.
Jan will be a featured speaker at the National Academy of Inventor’s Conference (NAI) in Atlanta, Georgia June 23-26, 2025. She will talk about “The Art of Engineering & technology” collection and her ‘creative process’.
